Oud Save The Queen Perfume by Atkinsons, Designed by master perfumer Francis Deleamont and launched in 2013, Oud Save the Queen is a luxurious romantic perfume for women that belongs to the oriental floral group of fragrances. The perfume opens with fresh spicy and herbal accords of Earl Grey Tea and cloves accented by citrusy bergamot. The heart of the fragrance contains white floral middle notes of soothing jasmine and sweet orange blossom. Base notes consist of tantalizing agarwood (oud), honeyed and smoky guaiac wood, and spicy tonka bean.
Formerly a perfume and soap shop known for its best-selling hair pomade concocted with actual bear grease, the legendary Atkinsons perfume house got its start in London in 1799. The founder of the company, James Atkinson, expanded his own business by traveling from Cumberland to London with detailed recipes for his toiletries and fragrances, as well as his own live bear. Atkinson became perfumer to the royal family in 1826.
